A later reflection from the family.
Colin was a longstanding member and Committee Member and his membership card was transferred to our virtual Committee Room in 2026. Rest in peace Colin and we thank you for your many years of support and dedication.
Memory when the loss was still really raw.
Last Friday 22nd May , we lost our amazing Dad Colin Asquith and our hearts are completely broken. There are simply no words for the hurt we feel right now. He suffered for many years with Parkinson’s disease, and while we are devastated, we are glad he is finally at peace. We will be saying our final goodbyes on Friday, 12th June at 11:30 am for his cremation at Cottingley.Donations will be greatly received for Parkinsons..
Afterwards, we will be raising a glass to him at his absolute favourite second home since day dot—Fountain Street Working Men’s Club. All who knew and loved him are welcome to join us. 💔✨

Colin, You were an absolute star and I am glad I knew you for the past 50 years, watching how you ran the club and kept it running was inspiring, You loved the club as do I and I will keep the torch burning bright into the future.
Thank you for all your hard work
